Overview
RH Research is the controller of the personal information described here. We collect only what we need to answer enquiries, deliver purchased engagements, operate the business, and meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Information we collect
- Contact and order details — name, business name, email, phone, billing address, and the notes you include when you place an order or contact us.
- Engagement content — documents, metrics, account context, and other material you share so we can perform the work.
- Technical data — IP address, browser and device type, referring pages, and interaction logs generated when you use the site.
- Correspondence — email and call records relating to your enquiry or engagement.
Cart contents on this site are stored locally in your browser and are not transmitted to us until you submit an order.
How we use your information
- to respond to enquiries and prepare proposals;
- to process orders, deliver engagements, and provide support;
- to issue invoices, keep accounting records, and manage tax obligations;
- to maintain the security, integrity, and performance of the site;
- to send service messages about an order or engagement you have with us;
- to comply with law and enforce our terms.
Legal basis for processing
- Contract — to deliver an engagement you have purchased or requested.
- Legitimate interests — to run, secure, and improve our business and this site.
- Legal obligation — to keep financial and tax records.
- Consent — where you have opted in, for example to non-essential communications. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Data retention and deletion
We keep enquiry correspondence for up to 24 months, engagement records for the duration of the relationship plus a reasonable archival period, and financial records for the period required by tax law (typically seven years). You can request deletion of information we are not required to keep.
Security
We use access controls, encrypted transport, reputable providers, and least-privilege practices to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you and any regulator as required by law.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. U.S. state residents may also have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To make a request, email hello@rh-research.com. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
International data transfers
We are based in the United States, and information you share is processed there. If you contact us from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be transferred and processed under U.S. law, with appropriate safeguards in place with our providers.
Children's privacy
Our site and services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and will delete it if we learn we have.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. The “last updated” date shows the current version, and material changes will be highlighted on this page.
